Masoom and Sada Thakur delight music lovers
A journey of more than 20 years and a destination where passion and profession become one, this is the description of Sufi and Ghazal singer pair Masoom and Sadaa Thakur.
A JOURNEY of more than 20 years and a destination where passion and profession become one, this is the description of Sufi and Ghazal singer pair Masoom and Sadaa Thakur. Belonging to Jammu and Ambala respectively, Masoom and Sadaa’s thirst for music pulled them towards Delhi to learn music under the able guidance of Ustad Sabri Khan.

 
The path and destination were the same which made two individuals walk together in the bond of love and the musical world was fortunate to get the gift of this devoted couple, whose soothing voices became a bequest to the world. ‘Par Bhajan’ in 2005, ‘Diwani Kar Dini’ in 2006, ‘He Guruji’ in 2008, ‘Mere Guruji’ in 2009 and ‘Guru Charan Vandana’ in 2010 are some of their albums which paved their way into the hearts of music lovers. They are soon coming up with their new romantic album with passionate songs like ‘jab ye phool mehakte hain, hum yaar ke seene me dil banke dhadakte hain’.
 
With a blend of four duet and four solo songs, this album is a sheer treat for the listener’s ears as it also comprises of songs and lyrics of prominent poets like Faiz Ahmed, Momeen, Mirza Ghalib and Shahid Hamdani.

 
Singing and composing music for musical shows, films and serials like ‘Awaaz Nai Andaaz Wahi’, ‘Ga Mere Man Ga’, ‘Papa’, ‘Chetna’, in their combined and individual capacities, the couple breathes with the beats of music. Believing in quality and not quantity of work, desire to produce music which has a direct link between the ears and hearts of the listeners, “Millions of songs are produced every year but only a few live for a lifetime and we aim to work towards achieving the latter,” says Masoom Thakur.
