Massive fire at ammunition depot in Maharashtra's Pulgaon: At least 20 killed, 19 injured
A major fire broke out between 1:30 am and 2:00 am on Tuesday at the Central Ammunition Depot in Pulgaon, Maharashtra.
Quoting Army officials, PTI reported that 18 Defence Security Corps jawans and two officers have been killed in the fire and 19 others injured.

As per reports, among the deceased are two officers and fifteen Defence Security Corps (DSC) jawans. The injured include two officers and seventeen DSC jawans.

Defence officials have said that one shed at the ammunition depot caught fire. While the main fire has been extinguished, secondary fires and explosions have not been ruled out.

While the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, the army has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the cause of the fire. Defence Minister, Manohar Parikar is set to visit the depot today.

People living in the villages that are close to the depot have been evacuated for safety.
