Massive response to lakhs of teaching vacancies in Bihar
After Bihar announced between 3-4 lakh teaching vacancies in government primary schools, there was a massive response by candidates - so much so that it led to unrest due to issues related to availability forms and payment for them.
EDUCATION BEGINS from primary level and rural areas are roots from where teaching should begin. Keeping this in mind Bihar absorbs 3 to 4 lakhs teachers in various government schools in the state. Many unemployed and those who dream of becoming a government employee all wait for this vacancy. As expected this year also Bihar CM Nitish Kumar announced 3 lakh vacancies for school teachers. The forms are available in different government colleges in Bihar. A draft of Rs 100 has to be submitted for buying the form.

In all areas the number of applicants to buy the form has been more than estimated, and this created a lot of disorder. Since the last seven days people have been lining up to buy the forms, as for everyone draft was not possible due to heavy rush in banks so some tried to give cash. This system of cash was earlier rejected by the government so the form sellers are also not accepting cash. This has led to elements of society to create trouble and they created problems in many colleges - especially in interior areas like Chapra.

Considering the situation, the management has instructed all form sellers to accept cash two days ago but then also few were not following the new imperative. This led the masses to dismantle things to demonstrate their antagonism and at last the administration yesterday had to stop the selling of forms for a week. The irate mob was unable to be controlled by the administration and this led everything to halt. New dates will be announced soon for the last day of form submission, and when the procedure will be started.

Biharis are intelligent and after the Fifth Pay commission the pay scale has also increased, and this has resulted in more candidates. Last year also teachers in huge number were posted in various primary schools and this year it is predicted to be equivalent. But candidates need to be patient otherwise it’s their loss. Damaging government property is not the right way to show their protest if they don’t like any rule.

The chief minister of Bihar has tried to start new yojnas so that there is more employment, and this is the best one. Bihar is a land of talent and this year seeing the Bihar board matriculation results, confirms that the standard of education in rural areas is improving. The requirement for successful candidates is more of rural areas.
