HE IS a legend in the world of cricket. He is incredible. He is the one and only Master Blaster- Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. He is the person who has devoted more than 20 years to the world of cricket. He has set various records and received numerous awards for his cricketing skill and temperament on the field.

Sachin Tendulkar maintains the record of playing highest number of test matches (164 matches) for India and is still going strong, with Kapil Dev and Rahul Dravid in the second position with 131 test matches. Wirldwide, previous Australian captain Steve Waugh holds the record for playing most number of test matches (168 matches) so Sachin is in second place.
In test carrier, Sachin Tendulkar was the third youngest debutant (16 years 205 days) after Mushtaq Mohommad (15 years 124 days) and Aaqibis Javed (16 years 189 days).
This Indian legend has a record of scoring fastest 10,000 runs in the test cricket. He achieved this record in 195 innings. Similarly, Brian Lara also achieved this record in 195 innings.
Sachin achieved a record of highest test centuries (46 centuries) world over. Ricky Ponting maintained second place with 39 centuries while Brain Lara and Sunil Gavaskar scored 34 centuries each in test matches. While Australia’s Steve Waugh scored 32 centuries in his test career.

Sachin has five calendar years with 1000 or more runs – 2008 (1063 runs), 2002 (1392 runs), 1999 (1088 runs), 2001 (1003 runs) and 1997 (1000 runs).
First player who reached 12,000 and 13,000 runs in test cricket.
Sachin has scored centuries against all test playing nations. He is the third player to achieve this destination after Steve Waugh and Garry Kirsten. After these three, Brain Lara, Ricky Ponting, Rahul Dravid, Jacks Kallis, Adam Gilchrist and Marvan Atapattu also achieved this destination in the test cricket.
Sachin Tendulkar also played most matches (436 matches) in the ODI’s.
On his debut, Sachiin Tendulkar was the second youngest debutant. Only Aaqib Javed debuted in ODI matches younger than Sachin Tendulkar.
He is the first player to reach 10000, 11000, 12000, 13000, 14000, 15000, 16000 and 17000 ODI runs.
He scored most centuries (45 centuries) in the One Day International carrier also.
He also has a record of most centuries in final matches (six centuries).
He scored 91 half centuries in ODI which is also a record.
