Match preview: MI vs DD – both teams look for their first points in IPL 2018
Winless Delhi Daredevils travel to Mumbai today to face winless Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium. The match takes place at 4 pm today.

While both teams lost their opening encounters, Delhi Daredevils suffered yet another loss at the hands of Rajasthan Royals in a rain interrupted game. DD have their work cut out today when they clash with the defending champions MI, who also have a home advantage.

Interestingly, MI has so far won five of the six matches against DD at the Wankhede Stadium.

However, the going for Mumbai in season 11 of the Indian Premier League hasn't been great either. Last Saturday MI lost their opening game against Chennai Super Kings when the match looked in their control. Later the team failed to defend 10 runs in the last over against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Furthermore, three-time champions Mumbai have had to make a few changes to their team after all-rounder Hardik Pandya's ankle injury and non-availability of Australian paceman Pat Cummins. New Zealand fast bowler Adam Milne has been brought in as a replacement for Cummins.

The most significant performance, however, for MI has come from Punjab bowler Mayank Markande, the current purple cap holder, who has seven wickets to his name. After taking 3 wickets in the opening match against CSK, Markande accounted for four crucial wickets in the game against SRH.

Delhi Daredevils who have been a bit unlucky in the tournament so far come into today's match with positive thinking under their new coach Rickey Ponting. The advantage, however, looks with the home team.
