The main roadblock for the release of the film was that the film crew had availed for two permissions; a NOC (no objection certificate) from the IAF (Indian Air Force) and certification from the censor board. The U certificate from the censor board was a piece of cake but the other permission from the IAF was the problem. They gave the film a conditional certificate and wanted some 30 seconds sequence to be corrected in the film.
However, because latest graphic were used in the scene it took a lot of time for them to correct and make it the way the IAF wanted and they got the permission last Tuesday. From the tweets of Sahid Kapoor, it was clear that he was worried about the release of the film, and wanted nothing to go out of place. He says that the Indian release is ready for September 16 but not oversees release. Thus, they have decided to make the release on September 23 as they did not want a fragmented release.
