Maya to split U.P into four states. Is it feasible?
Sooner or later U.P will be carved out into four smaller states. As a patriotic Indian and writer I can only voice my views. Big sharks who have always been opportunists will pounce on the opportunity to push their own dirty, stinky agenda.

THE LIKES of Ajit Singh, and Amar Singh have started showing their tongues akin to lizard to pounce on the prey and grab the CM's throne. Indian politicos are akin to a chameleon - flaunt your color which suites your hidden agenda.

With elections round the corner, politicians cutting across political parties are coming up with policies, tricks, ideas to woo voters. Battle lines have been drawn; knives and swords are out in open to grab the throne of U.P., a state, which plays a paramount role in deciding the politics in Delhi and country as a whole.

Czarina of north politics, who often calls herself as messiah of dalits, downtrodden, Maya mamsab has ignited a new debate and shrewdly thrown the ball in the central government’s court. Maya has come out with a proposal - divide U.P into four smaller states for better rule and development. The proposal sounds very interesting but what is surprising is its timing. When elections are round the corner and her government is under scanner for issues galore, namely corruption, crime, rape, murder and law and order, this self-styled, self-created messiah of dalits is playing a great chess move. Deflect the attention of the voters and rival political parties from the core issues.

Where was this czarina, often called as realtor, as she has constructed monuments galore dedicated to Kanshiram, Ambedkar, Elephant, Budha, etc., five years back. Why this politics of smaller states now? Once again U.P is gearing up for elections, and the poor voters are all decked up to chant and support their leaders, who have been making a fool of them since independence. The politics of caste, reservation, temple, mosque has been ruining this great state. But who cares? Politicos are engaged in baking their hidden, sullied, agenda. Gullible people fail to comprehend their motive as they are blackmailed emotionally.

I am not against the creation of smaller states, but the way politics run in this country, I am skeptical about the move. Four more states will only tender opportunities to corrupt politicians and bureaucrats to loot more wealth, milk out public coffers, and indulge in nepotism.

This whole argument that smaller states for better development is not feasible in Indian polity scenario. Take the instance of Jharkhand, the state is rich in minerals, still it is plagued with poverty, corruption and nepotism. Madhu Koda looted it as if it was his paternal property, Shibu Soren too faced many allegations of corruption and nepotism. Uttarakhand recently saw its chief minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank shown the door as he was allegedly involved in scandals.

Sooner or later U.P will be carved out into four smaller states, as a patriotic Indian and writer I can only voice my views. Big sharks who have always been opportunist will pounce on the opportunity to push their own dirty, stinky agenda. Likes of Ajit Singh, Amar Singh have started showing their tongues akin to lizard to pounce on the prey and grab CM throne. My heart bleeds when I see Hyderabad shining not because I am envious of Hyderabad, but because when will my own state, U.P see the light of development. We don’t need smaller states to govern better, what we need is accountability, responsibility and transparency in the system.
