AN FIR has been lodged against BSP MLA for demolishing a Dalit’s house in Sant Kabir Nagar UP. The BSP MLA and others allegedly grabbed a piece of land after demolishing the house of a Dalit in a village, a police official said on Saturday.

The FIR was lodged against BSP MLA from Khesraha Tabish Ahmed Khan, his brother Iftikar Alam Khan and some supporters under various sections of the SC/ST and Criminal Law Amendment Act on Friday following protests by locals, the Additional superintendent of Police Arvind Panday said.

The protesters alleged that the BSP legislator, his brother and their supporters grabbed a piece of land after razing to the ground the thatched house of Ram Lakhan, a Dalit in Rajedeeha village under Bakhira police station area.
