The European version of Mazda5, features a direct-injected 2.0-liter four-cylinder and a 1.8-liter base engine, both available with a six-speed manual and 2.0-liter in U.S. version with both manual and automatic transmissions. Mazda5 will go on sale across Europe later this year.
The exterior design of the Mazda5 new compact MPV integrates elements seen on Mazda's ‘Nagare' concept car series created under Franz von Holzhausen, but it is also claims to be highly functional, contributing to increased fuel economy and reduced drag. In addition to these features it also includes five-point grille, deeper chin spoiler and flared front fenders. The new 5 gets a trio of dramatic, wave-live character lines sweeping from the front door and terminating into the deeply drawn rear tailamps.
Geneva Motor Show is considered as the world biggest auto show and is the platform for world numero uno automakers. The 2010 edition of Geneva Auto Show will continue tiill March 14.
