MCG commissioner asks officials to be regular and punctual at work

Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) chief Ashok Sangwan shocked officials after paying surprise visits in various corporation offices and departments. To his surprise, he found many officials absent from the duty without any prior information.

On Monday morning when the chief paid a surprise visit to corporation’s various departments he was shocked to see a careless attitude of the officers present there. He visited offices of Joint Commissioners, Chief Engineer, Superintending Engineer, Chief Medical officer, sanitation department and others and found officers absent from duty in every office and department.

He immediately called all absent officers at his office and warned them to be punctual and regular. He also warned them that if they were again found absent from their work without any prior information or without any valid reason, then a strict action will be taken against them. The reason behind surprise visits was to improve the working style of employees.
