MCG Commissioner Praveen Kumar hoists the national flag on Independence Day celebrated by Jaat Kalyan Sabha in Gurgaon
On 15 August, Jaat Kalyan Sabha organized the ceremony of 68th Independence day in Dhanvana village, Sector-4, Gurgaon. MCG Commissioner Dr. Praveen Kumar was invited as the Chief guest who hoisted the national flag an d planted the little plant.

On the eve of Independence Day, the members of Jaat Sabha celebrated the flag ceremony. On this occasion, MCG commissioner Dr. Praveen Kumar hoisted the national flag with national anthem at 10.30am. He also planted a little plant with the other members of Sabha. He was welcomed by the Sabha's key members with garlands and flower bouquets.  A cultural programme was also presented by the children of Chaudhary Kataria Memorial School. The children sang the beautiful patriotism song  "Salaam Zindagi, Ladna Toh Padega" dedicated to the freedom.

Viewing the importance of the moment, Khajan Singh, the key member of Sabha urged Praveen Kumar to meet their demands like building a modern community center by the name of Chaudhary Charan Singh on 5 acre land anywhere in the middle of Gurgaon, a private university on the Deen Bandhu Sar Chhotu Ram, rename Gurgaon as Guru Ka Gram and 5 drinking water tubewells in the gap of 900 meter in their region.

Addressing the audience Praveen Kumar said, "Recently, I have been transferred to Chandigarh. I will say only that real freedom means to get rid of the slavery of our needs and thoughts. By changing ourselves, we can overcome all the difficulties coming on our way."

On this special occasion, MCG Chief Engineer B.S. Singhroha, Ward no. 10 Councilor Mangat Ram Bagri, Sabha president Sikander Kataria, General Secretary R S Kundoo and vice president Jai Singh Hooda were present there.
