MCG Councillor Mangat Ram Bagri meets HUDA chief to submit memorandum over incomplete road at Sector 4
Ward 10 MCG Councillor Mangat Ram Bagri has met HUDA Administrator PC Meena to hand over a citizen memorandum over various issues related to the Dhanpur Outer Road. Bagri has drawn the HUDA Chief’s attention to the fact that the green belt, storm water and the footpath work of the Dhanpur Outer Road is incomplete even after 1.5 years of the road construction.

In his memorandum Bagri mentioned that the Sector 4 Outer Dhanpur road work had started 1.5 years ago with an estimated spent of around 3 crore rupees. However, the road work had been kept incomplete by the contractor and footpath, storm water and greenbelt work had been lying incomplete since then.

Bagri has pointed out that due to the incomplete status of the road for so long has resulted in accumulation of debris along the road and also makes life difficult for the residential complex around the region. Despite spending a huge amount in the road construction the common man has not been able to utilize the full benefit of the construction; rather the dust pollution caused by the incomplete construction has become a menace in their daily life.  In fact there had been quite a few cases of old person living in the area being attacked with lung diseases and breathing problems in recent days, a phenomenon that Bagri blames on the dust pollution.

The absence of storm water drainage also becomes an issue in the monsoon months when the road gets flooded with rain water. This results into massive traffic jams over the area.

Bagri has claimed that the initial contract given to the contractor included clauses that required him to construct green belt, footpath and storm water drainage along with the road construction. However, the contractor had left the job incomplete. In fact the construction material once kept in the area has also been cleared up giving the local residents an impression that the job will now be kept incomplete forever.

Bagri, in the public interest, demanded that Sector 4 Dhanpur Outer Road work should be completed in order to get rid of those problems. Bagri was accompanied by the BJP district general secretary  Sundari Devi , Darshan Singh , Anil Kumar Gupta , Bishwambar Khatan , Subhash Pahwa ,  Dinesh Soni , Om Prakash , Sudesh Biswal , Krishna Devi , Savita Devi and a number of other citizens.
