The Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) with an aim to relieve some chaos at the HUDA metro station during peak office hours have thought of building a skywalk. The idea is to build a circular platform branching out from the station and connecting it to the various parts of the metro station. As we all must know that during office hours, the metro is a busy place and it can get chaotic at times and this skywalk would help with that.
Talking about the project, Praveen Kumar said, ''The idea is to construct a circular platform over the station, with skywalks branching out of it to connect areas around the station. This will also ensure smoother traffic movement by taking pedestrians off the roads.'' Although the sound of the project appeals almost instantly, but a concrete decision is yet to be taken.
Apart from this, as reported by Indianexpress.com, MCG is also thinking of lowering the crowd in IIFCO Chowk. Addressing the issue, Kumar said, '' Iffco Chowk is one of the most congested crossings in Gurgaon.'' Iffco Chowk is the place where most of the Gurgaon
residents take metros to go to Delhi
and a lot of Delhi
residents also board off to go to their work place in Gurgaon.
Adding some more to the information, Kumar also said, ''There is a huge patch of green around Iffco Chowk, which can be used for the purpose. We are considering solutions that will segregate Jaipur-bound traffic from the others, reducing the load at the chowk.''
