MCG to organise flower show at Gurgaon's Bio-Diversity Park
Spring season is upon us and even in the concrete jungle of Gurgaon blooms of different kinds are seen decorating the city. Not only are the roads abundant with wild flowers, but the citizens of Gurgaon also tend to their kitchen garden and grow roses and dalias in pots on their balconies. In order to encourage such citizens, the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG)- the civic body, which looks after the city is organising a flower show by the name,' The Spring Fest' on 8 and 9 March 2014 at Bio-Diversity Park.

For people who loves gardening and is proud of their handiwork, this is a good opportunity to showcase their work as anyone can participate and the entry closes on 6 March 2014. Anyone can participate and win prizes and three prizes -first, second and third would be awarded to the participants.

Apart from the flower show, there would also be an on-spot painting competition for children of the age group 6-15 years on 9 March 2014. The subject of the competition would be announced at the venue and interested participants would have to reach the place before 10 in the morning. Apart from this, rangoli competition would also be conducted earlier in the day. The interested participant for rangoli competition would have to reach the same venue on 9 March before 8:30 in the morning.

After both the competitions, a baby show is organised for kids upto 2 years of age on 9 March 2014. Entries should reach the place before 11:30 am and they would be placed into two groups.Most of the citizens this weekend would surely like to have a look at the bloom of the city and also get a glimpse at the young talents in the city.
