Norway won the Men's 4x7.5 km biathlon that was held on Friday, by finishing the event in 1:21:38.1 time, while Austria came second with 1:22:16.7 time. Two seconds later, the Russian Federation came third, at 1:22:16.9 time.
IT WAS a happy day for Norway at the Vancouver Olympics, when the team won the Men's 4x7.5 km biathlon that was held on Friday at the Whistler Olympic Park. Norway won the event by finishing it in 1:21:38.1 time, while Austria came second with 1:22:16.7 time. Two seconds later, the Russian Federation came third, at 1:22:16.9 time.
The Norway team, comprising of Halvard Hanevold, Tarjei Bob, Emil Hegle Svendsen and Ole Einar Bjoerndalen had finished the first leg of the event on the seventh rank and worked hard to come to the top spot in the second leg, staying there in the third and fourth leg.
The Austrian team, comprising of Simon Eder, Daniel Mesotitsch, Dominik Landertinger and Christoph Sumann were on the second rank throughout all four legs that took place in the Men's 4x7.5 ikm biathlon. Meanwhile, the Russian Federation team, comprising of Ivan Tcherezov, Anton Shipulin, Maxim Tchoudov and Evgeny Ustyugov, were on the first rank during the first leg, but slipped to fifth in the second. They rose to third rank and maintained it in the third and fourth leg.
Apart from this, Sweden came fourth and Germany fifth in the event. On the other hand, host Canada finished the race on the tenth rank and United States finished the 4x7.5 biathlon on the 13th rank.
