MERE BROTHER KI DULHAN a quirky romantic comedy made under  the Yash Raj Banner, opened today to a houseful audience in the first show itself. The movie is directed by first time director Ali Abbas Zafar, and stars Katrina Kaif, Imran Khan and budding actor Ali Zafar in lead roles with John Abraham in a cameo role.

While most of the people who thronged the movie hall were hardcore Katrina fans, many came in because of the Imran-Katrina chemistry. Songs such as “Dhunki” and “Madhubala” were also an attraction for many, especially since the songs are doing well on the chartbusters.

According to reviews, Mere Brother ki Dulhan has a very ordinary plot, which has its share of flaws and attractions. The first part of the movie has nothing new to offer,  Kush (Imran Khan) who sets out on a journey from London to India in search of an ideal bride for his elder brother Luv (Ali Zafar).

After much struggle, Kush meets Dimple (Katrina) and finds her to be the perfect match for his brother and manages to convince her for the marriage. And as the preparations for the marriage proceeds in full swing, Kush realizes that he is in love with his brothers to be Dulhan (Dimple).

This twist in the love story makes the second half of the movie interesting, however,  the best part of the movie is the comical and unpredictable series of events that lead to its climax. In short, the movie has nothing new to offer but still manages to keep the audience glued to their seats until the climax. It’s a masala movie, which has all the ingredients to make an entertaining movie.
