The Salman Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer Bodyguard opened up today across India to a huge response from fans. Merinews captured some of people's opinions after the first show.

It being a holiday due to the holy Muslim festival of Id, the film opened up to a houseful audience in the first show itself. While most of the people thronged the movie hall were hardcore Salman fans, many came in because of the Salman-Kareena chemistry. Katrina’s cameo in a item number was also an attraction for many, especially since the song is doing well on the chartbusters.

According to reviews of the people, one can clearly conclude that the movie is based on a very relatable plot, though the first part of the movie has nothing new to offer. However, the second half gets interesting with an unexpected pre-climax, which further gives a strong base to the climax of the movie.

Similar to his previous releases such as Wanted and Ready, Bodyguard also comes across as a one-man show - as for the most part of the movie the plot revolves around Salman and leaves no space for Kareena to show off her acting skills.

Salman seems to have found a new breath of life - post Wanted. The string of success continues in Dabaang, Ready and now Bodyguard with equal success. With Singham also released recently, seems like the age of Macho men is back on silver screen.

All in all, Bodyguard qualifies to be the perfect Bollywood masala movie, and guarantees a real treat to all Salman fans in the festive season.
