Merry Christmas: some selected greetings and SMSes

Christmas, being celebrated on December 25, is a day to share the spirit of peace and joy with your acquaintances and loved ones.

FIRST LET me share with you how Merry Christmas is said in India. In Hindi, they say "Shubh Krisamas aur naye saal kee haardik shubhkaamnaye!" In Bengali, it is said, "Shubho bauro din!" In Urdu, they say "Bada din mubarak ho!"

In some other Indian languages the Christmas greetings are said as follows: Krismas habbada shubhaashayagalu -Kannada; Krismas ko subhakamana tatha nayabarsha ko subhakamana -Nepali; Kristmas matrum puthaandu vaazthukkal -Tamil; Kristumas puthuvalsara ?shamsakal -Malayalam; Nav?n Krismas evam varshacyaa haardik shubhecchaa -Marathi
