Merseyside Derby : Liverpool v/s Everton
The English Premier League is back after a small international break and what best way to kick off with a Merseyside derby later today, where Liverpool and Everton would clash at Goodison Park. Liverpool are playing some great football, where they are lying in second place and looks a serious title contender, while Everton lie on sixth place.

Liverpool, in spite of being in good form has been dealt a big blow, with Sturridge not sure of playing the derby due to a 'dead leg,' while Jose Enrique has already been sidelined due to an injury. But, on a positive note, their main striker Suarez seems to be in sparkling form and Liverpool fans would want to see the striker continue with his goal scoring form.

If declared unfit, Sturridge is going to be missed by Liverpool, as he has been one of the top goal scorers in the league with eight goals in the season along with Suarez and Aguero, with the same number of goals.

His absence might be felt less, if Coutinho, the Brazilian star player comes up with his characteristic game along with his exquisite skills and supply Suarez with those through ball, for which he has been praised by one and all.

Everton, on the other hand may have drawn five of their eleven games played so far and only lost one, but their performance has not been up to the mark. Of late, they have been picking up well. It would be an icing on the cake, if they come up with one of their best game till date and defeat Liverpool in this crucial derby.

The Liverpool defense would be aware of the threat that Lukaku possesses with his speed and strength, who has scored five goals for Everton, their highest goal scorer.

When these two sides face one another, the form book goes out of the window. The Merseyside derby is considered to be one of the biggest derbies in England, where a hostile atmosphere is always expected. The players also take such derbies to another level, where they give it their all. The match is expected to be played in a high tempo with tackles flying left to right.
