Messi to mesmerize Indian fans
Lionel Messi, one of the best players in the world, would be playing in India for the first time as his country; Argentina is scheduled to play an international friendly against Venezuela in Kolkata. The match has been scheduled for September 2.

COME SEPTEMBER 2, India would be witnessing players such as Messi, Mascherano, Tevez, and Sergio Aguero from Argentina in action against their rivals, Venezuela in a FIFA organised friendly match in Salt Lake stadium at Kolkata.

The match would be broadcasted in around 150 countries. It may be for the first time that a football match, which is going to be played in India would be receiving audiences from all parts of the globe. Though, the match is just slated to be a friendly game, both the teams would be trying their best to outdo one another, as they could not perform well in their last major tournament, Copa America 2011.

Most players from both the sides have reached the bustling city of Kolkata. One of the most attractive stars of the match, Lionel Messi arrived along with his club team mate, Javier Mascherano at the Kolkata airport today early morning. They were cheered by fans, who were just waiting to get a glimpse of the players. They might not have expected such a turnout in the airport and they might be amazed to see the fans that would throng the stadium on match day.

Kolkata seems to be ready for the mega event, as Messi’s hoardings can be seen all over the city. Shopkeepers are selling Messi and other players jersey like pancakes. Some shopkeepers have even said that Messi’s jerseys are already sold out. Big Bollywood celebrities such as John Abraham and Ranbir Kapoor are expected to be present during the match too.

The lucky few who have got the tickets for the historic match could be in for their best 90 minutes of their life, where both the teams would be showcasing their magic on the field, which the Indian audiences hardly get a chance to see it in front of their eyes.
