Mexico, Delhi and Bangalore are Commuters' horror
Very soon people will have to realise the horror that the growing amount of unruliness on roads is inflicting on the physical and the economical growth of a country. Very sadly Delhi and Bangalore falls under the same arena.

PEOPLE IN Bangalore and Delhi get out of their houses hours before, so that they can reach their workplace on time. And this is not on days when Delhi streets are flooded with rain water. This is the normal way of life thanks to the pain man has created for himself in the form of cars and busses and shoddy road infrastructure. Inspite of being the National capital of India and the costliest city in India, Delhi and Bangalore respectively are a commuter’s horror. This has been established in a 'pain survey' by the IBM's 4th annual global Commuter Pain Survey conducted with 8,042 commuters in 20 cities around the world - and Delhi was 7th and Bangalore 6th in the rankings.

With growth in infrastructure, people around the world, have given birth to these kinds of problems. These days Urban management of the infrastructure is as important as equal economic growth - for this affects citizens's quality of life. According to the survey, many people around the world have said that traffic problems have actually increased their personal stress and anger levels.

Who would have thought that national Highways, flyovers, metros and cars, built to assist people in their work, would actually increase the stress level of the creators themselves. If one thinks about the scenario, it is quite ironic as roads built to cover distances faster are actually forbidding them to do the same. In the survey people also said that stress caused due to traffic problems has affected their work and their performance.

The main result of the survey is seen the Commuter Pain Index that ranks the emotional and economic toll of commuting in cities worldwide. People in Montreal are stress free as it is the city least painful for commuters, whereas on the other side is Mexico, which is the most painful place for commuters. People in India normally have a vision that in foreign countries people would have it easy due to advanced service systems and the organised way the countries operate but being a commuter in Bejing, Johannesburg or Moscow is no piece of cake.

It was seen that in places mentioned above with Delhi and Bangalore, commuters spend 36 minutes or more on road trying to get from one place to another. If matters are not sorted out soon then it can grow into a nuisance very soon as people are not thinking of putting together plan to cate to burgeoning traffic and related 'pain' caused to commuters.
