Miami Heat loses steam, first loss of the season
Miami Heat lost to Atlanta Hawks at American Airlines Arena, where the score read, 100-92 in the NBA Eastern Conference, regular season. Miami Heat's pairing of Lebron James and Dwayne Wade could not come up with their usual flair, especially, Wade who only scored 12 points.

MIAMI HEAT suffered their first loss of the season as they took on Atlanta Hawks in the NBA Eastern Conference, with a Conference being a group of 15 teams. In the US, the basketball league has the Western and Eastern Conference, and each Conference is further divided into groups of five teams.

Hence, now, both the teams have only lost once in the season, which keeps them in a good stead for the competition ahead. The final score for the match read 100-92 in favour of Atlanta Hawks at American Airlines Arena.

The final score does not give a clear picture of the game, as it was Miami Heat who was leading in the first quarter, where they scored 23 points as compared to Atlanta’s 19 points. When both teams went into the locker room during half time, the match was on a knife edge with Miami leading 50 points to 47.

The game was more exciting in the second half where both the teams were scoring at will and were trying to outdo one another. The game changer was the fourth quarter, where Hawks left Heat clueless with a great performance. Atlanta Hawks scored 33 points, as compared to Heat’s 21 points in the last quarter. It was Tracy McGrady, also known as T-Mac stunned the Heats with 11 points in the last quarter alone.

Dwayne Wade and Lebron James are two of their best players for Miami Heat, and the team is dependent on these players to carry them to victory. But it was not to be as they could not come with a performance that would defeat Atlanta Hawks. Though, Lebron James scored 28 points, he did not receive good support from Dwayne Wade, who only scored 12 points, which was a below par performance for him.

On the other hand, Atlanta Hawks witnessed a good team effort, as their players came up with superior performance. Their players like Joe Johnson scored 21 points; Al Horford scored 16 points and Jeff Teague, 15 points, reported ajc.com.

It is games like these in the NBA, where games tilt at the last moment, which makes it the most known basketball league in the world. In spite of the results, Miami has a 5-1 win loss record, best in the Eastern Conference.
