At the Motown Historical Museum in Detroit, a Jackson 5 exhibition opened on Tuesday June 22, marking the one-year anniversary this week of Michael Jackson's death. Jackson donated the uniform to the museum in 1988 when he had a tour date in Detroit. The Jackson 5 worked under the Motown label from 1968-1975.
MJ's fans will be able to view photographs, awards and uniforms the group wore throughout its career at the Motown Historical Museum during Jackson 5 exhibition. Museum chief curator Lina Stephens said the exhibition celebrates the life of the King of Pop - who died on June 25, 2009 - and acknowledges the Jackson 5's "contribution to the Motown story".
