Michael Schumacher had earlier planned to make his comeback with F1 team Ferrari, in this summer's racing season, but was not able to do so due to recurring neck injuries after a motorcycle crash.

RACING SENSATION Michael Schumacher would finally return to Formula One, after he agreed to a one year contract with Mercedes In Germany. The seven time world champion in Formula one, would be wearing Mercedes colours next season - provided he passes the mandatory medical examination.

Michael Schumacher had earlier planned to make his comeback with F1 team Ferrari, in this summer's racing season, but was not able to do so due to recurring neck injuries after a motorcycle crash. If he had joined Ferrari then, he would have replaced Felipe Massa, who had also been injured due to a crash.

Talks are still going on between Mercedes and Michael Schumacher, as the car brand wanted him to become team ambassador. However, the german racer was not very confident about this move as it would have interfered with his advisory duties with Ferrari.
