These security updates, five of which were marked as critical and seven as important by Microsoft, fixed 26 patches in Windows software - with eleven targeting Windows based issues and two patching up MS Office XP and MS Office 2003.
A NUMBER of security holes in Windows were patched by Microsoft today, after it issued 13 security updates for Windows. This is the second time in the last four months that Microsoft has issued security updates.
These security updates, five of which were marked as critical and seven as important by Microsoft, fixed 26 patches in Windows software - with eleven targeting Windows based issues and two patching up MS Office XP and MS Office 2003.
Three of these security updates fices issues with DirectShow, part of the Windows DirectX graphics and two fixed Server Message Bloc, a Microsoft network file and print sharing protocol.
These updates also fixed PowerPoint, Microsoft Paint, TCP/IP implementation operating system, 2008 Hyper-V virtualization software and Windows kernel.
