Microsoft to launch online services in India from Nov 7
The customers can pay a use based monthly subscription charge and can access the suite directly from the Microsoft's site. The company believes that it will save anything between 10 to 50 percent of a company's IT cost every year.

KEEPING IN view the need of enabling easy access to its cost effective business productivty suite MIcrosoft has decided to launch its online service in India from November 7. The service will start at about $2 (Rs.100) a month and will be quite beneficial to small and medium business enterprise customers as they would be able to access Microsoft's email, collaboration, conferencing and productivity capabilities online.
 
The standard suite will be available to the end user at $10. One can choose individual offerings at the rate of $5 per user per month for Exchange Online. For Share point one needs to pay $5.25 per user per month. The subscription fee for the Office Communication Online is just $2 per month per user and if one opts for Office Live Meeting it would be $4.50 per user per month.
The services will be available in India from November 7.

The launch of Microsoft's online service is a part of its Microsoft's Software Plus Services strategy which aims to provide choice of accessibilty along with flexibility for using the software on the premises and off the internet or even as a combination of both.
 
Infosys, HCL Infosystems, Wipro are some of the companies which will market and offer value added services of Microsoft Online services.
 
Spephen Elop, Microsoft's Business group president said that in today's competitive global market, businesses badly needed cost effective technology that would allow fexibility and add value to one's organisations.
