Militants attack NATO convoy in Pakistan, 7 killed
Sources said a group of 15 militants opened fire and hurled grenades on the convoy before torching the vehicles. Police officials said seven people were killed and they included drivers and assistants of the truck, seven others were also wounded.
MILITANTS IN Pakistan carried out a devastating attack on vehicles carrying supplies for NATO troops based in Afghanistan on Wednesday. The attackers killed seven people and they struck close to the national capital Islamabad thus giving a jolt to the security establishment.
 
A huge amount of logistics for NATO troops in Afghanistan are transported by road through the country. The attack underlined the threat faced by NATO troops both in Pakistan and Afghanistan as 60 containers carrying military goods were damaged by militants.

US officials however declined to make any comment. This attack will further add to the unease of US and NATO officials and it is likely that they would look for other options to transport logistics to their soldiers based in Afghanistan.
