Milk alternatives for lactose intolerant people
Lactose intolerance is a problem where the body cannot easily digest lactose, a type of natural sugar found in milk and dairy products, and is commonly seen in adults. But, individuals who suffer from this problem fortunately have several options. There are some alternative plant based products that can easily satisfy the thirst you have for this beverage.

Coconut milk – This liquid from a grated meat of the coconut is a perfect base for a lot of Asian cuisines. In cooking, its flavour and aroma beats milk and is a perfect aroma for desserts as well.

Almond milk – Dates back in the middle ages, concoction has a nutty and crisp flavor, with Magnesium, Potassium and Vitamin E. Almond milk is a excellent choice for vegans.

Soy milk – Soy milk is the most popular alternative for lactose intolerant people. Though it tastes bland, its high in Omega 3 and Omega 6. It is also available in flavours such as vanilla and chocolate and goes very well with cereals, cookies and chocolate cake.

Rice milk – Rice milk is created from fermented grain or rice flour and it is sweeter in flavour. It is full of antioxidants, manganese and selenium, and boosts the immune system. But on a negative side, rice milk is a big no for diabetics, because of its high carbohydrates and low protein.
