SCHOOLS, ESPECIALLY public schools were put under a lockdown on Wednesday in Minneapolis after a terror threat was posted on two social networking websites. The Minneapolis public schools lockdown covered over 50 schools - from elementary to high schools.

She added, "There is no need for parents to pick up their children, this is just a precautionary measure." The lockdown affected over 34,000 students and stretched to cover a school outside of the Minneapolis public school district.
In St Paul, the Cretin-Derham Hall Catholic was also under lockdown, as per Mary Jo Groeller, the school's admissions administrator.
