Minor fire reported at PMO in the early hours of Tuesday
A minor fire incident was reported in the early hours of Tuesday from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) at Raisina Hills. As per news report from ANI, ten fire tenders were rushed to control the situation.

The fire tenders were able to control the situation within under 20 minutes, they were able to douse the fire, ANI reported.

The fire was reported at around 3.35 am from room number 242 of the second floor of the PMO in the Secretariat building of the South Block that houses key ministries including the Defence and External Affairs and offices. The room belongs to a Section Officer in the PMO. No casualties have been reported.

"#Delhi: Fire broke out in Room No. 242, located on the second floor of Prime Minister's Office around 3.35 AM. Situation now under control," ANI wrote on Twitter.

The cause of the fire has not been ascertained but there have been reports that the fire could have emanated from a spark in a UPS being used inside the office. No injuries, loss or damage have been reported from the incident.

This is the third incident of fire from the high security premises. In February, a fire had been reported from the accounts branch of Rashtrapati Bhavan. In January, a minor fire had erupted in the server room of the Parliament.
