Miscreants create havoc in Orissa in the garb of ultras
Some miscreants working under the banner of CPM Raitu Kuli Porata Shangham and posing as Maoists are extorting money from companies located in Koraput district of Orissa. The miscreants are very smart and operate in the garb of naxals.
A GROUP of miscreants working under the banner of CPM Raitu Kuli Porata Shangham and posing as Maoists are extorting money from companies located in Koraput district in Orissa. The miscreants are aware that in the name of ultras they can get away with anything in the area. Company owners, contractors and businessmen have been the targets of these pseudo Maoists. In one such instance, a group consisting of six people and armed allegedly with three toy guns went to Ampabali Tosali Cement Industries under Pottangi block in Koraput posing as Naxals and extorted lakhs of rupees. Sources said that the miscreants were smart and operated in a very planned and calculated manner.
The company officers told this correspondent that around six people out of, which three were in Maoist uniforms reached the factory on April 7 at mid night. Out of the six, two miscreants carried toy guns, the company security officer said.
They raised multiple questions based on the salary of the employees, ambulance facility and the corporate social responsibility for the development of villages lying in the periphery. Therafter they hoisted a red flag on the main gate of the company and sent a letter to the authorities on the letter head of CPM Raitu Kuli Shangh with the signature of Dr. Sudhakar.
By spreading fear, sources said these miscreants were able to extort money from the factory management.
