INVESTIGATIONS INTO the death of the King of Pop Michael Jackson, is throwing new unbelievable facts with every passing day and it seems the heat will not settle in the days to come. According to the latest investigations, Michael Jackson used powerful anaesthetics and other drugs to get sleep. If it is proved that the last dose taken by Michael Jackson was improperly administered by his personal physician, it could put the doctor in dock and he might be prosecuted if found guilty in accordance with the American law.
The deceased singer was a habitual user of anaesthetics. It appears that every night, he would ask his doctor to administer the dose on an IV drip and stop it as and when he wanted to wake up. On the day Michael Jackson died, his personal physician, Dr Conrad Murray administered the anesthetic dose on an IV drip. Defending his client, Dr Murray’s lawyer Edward Chernoff, refuted allegations and said that his client had not administered anything, be it anaesthetics or any drug that could have led to the death of Michael Jackson. The lawyer when asked to react on the statement of the officials involved in the investigation, said,“We will not comment on rumours, innuendo or unnamed sources which are coming from all sections of the society.” He further added,“Things tend to shake out when all the facts are made known, and I am sure that will happen here as well.”
Although toxicology reports of Jackson’s viscera are still awaited, investigators are not ruling out the involvement of the doctor. There are many issues that need to be settled and a clear picture will appear once the toxicological report comes in. The singer who regularly made the news either for his talent or his involvement in controversies has left some unsolved questions in his death.
