The 2010 American League and National League All-Stars Game rosters unveiled on Sunday, July 4. American League Most Valuable Player and Minnesota Twins catcher, Joe Mauer won the most votes from fans among players in the starting line-up for the 81st All-Star game announced by Major League Baseball.
According to the MLB, who said on its website today, July 4, fans casted 21.2 million votes to decide the nine AL and eight NL starters, the second-highest figure in history to decide nine American League and eight NL starters. The American League All-Star Team will have nine starters elected via the fan balloting program, while the National League All-Star Team will have eight fan-elected starters.
Minnesota Twins catcher, Joe Mauer, now a four-time AL All-Star and a three-time fan-elected starter, collected 5,372,606 votes, the third-highest total of all time. Albert Pujols earned the most votes in the National League.
