Modi's Cabinet ministers in trouble: After Rajnath's, now Sadananda Gowda's son in serious controversy
With two incidents in two consecutive days, it seems that Cabinet ministers in Modi government are not having 'Ache Din' (good days). The interesting point in the two high profile incidents are that it is not the ministers who are accused of any wrong doing, but the alleged involvement of their sons is making news.

After Home minister Rajnath Singh's son Pankaj Singh, now it was the turn of Railways minister Sadananda Gowda, whose son, Karthik Gowda was today accused of rape and cheating a woman.

The accusations are made by a model turned actor from Karnataka. The model claims that she is married to the minister's son, who got engaged to another woman at a ceremony at Kushalnagar in Kodagu District today, as reported by Economic Times.

Police has booked Karthik under sections 376 (punishment for rape) and 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code.

The model claims that she and Karthik know each other since May 8, 2014 and are very close friends. Now, the model wants Gowda to accept her as his daughter-in-law. However Gowda expressed shock at the allegation and suspected a conspiracy and attempt to blackmail, while his son rejected the women's claim.

It was only yesterday when a controversy had erupted around Home Minister Rajnath Singh's son Pankaj Singh, which says that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had canceled his election candidature because of improper conduct. More than the rumour itself, it was the undercurrent that sent out ripples within the BJP inner circles. Rajnath Singh also met PM and apprised him with his concerns.

Later the PMO issued a statement and refuted the allegations against Pankaj Singh.

The opposition seeing an opportunity to attack the government had demanded that both, PM and HM should make public the nature of allegations leveled against Singh's son and sought to know who had been making those allegations.
