Modi's First Year as PM - a few stray thoughts 18 May, 2015
Everybody is so serious about Mr. Narendra Modi's first year as the PM of India, analysing, appreciating or criticising with earnest aggression that it made me sit up.
As I thought of last one year of new government a few stray thoughts came to my mind, all my own (inspired by great journalist Late Behram Contractor aka Busybee).

Like, what would have happened if UPA had won again and Rahul baba was crowned the ruler by his dynastic followers? This thought itself was enough to feel safer with Mr. Modi and thank God.

Like, how did Modi manage to turn around India's image within a year in global community as no PM before him had done?

Like, why nobody had thought of pushing through Jan Dhan Yojana, Social Security through low cost insurance all these years?

Like, why people have not yet understood the importance of Mudra Bank for Micro, Small and Medium industry that contributes 40% of GDP and provide more employment than India Inc?

Like, do critics of Modi believe that he will trudge all over India clearing the garbage that has been heaped onto our country by politicians, durbaris, people like, you and me all these years? How can it be butt of jokes on Modi but not on us?

Like, who is afraid of Modi after his one year? Pack of predatory secular packs or dynastic politicians, or his own detractors within BJP?

Like, Modi no more looks Like, the Lion he looked when he took over. Who has been chipping away at his image? Is it only media or his own friends in his cabinet relaxing in his shadow or is it clever bureaucracy?

Like, wishing Modi had chosen a more neutral and straight thinking Finance Minister who articulates debates well but does not shape policies clearly.

Like, wondering why Finance Minister is behaving more Like, Chidambaram than a BJP FM?

Like, is India so bereft of talent that Modiji is working with only half effective cabinet?

Like, if Modi loses sheen and support, prime reason for this could be a finance ministry that is more worried about corporates than about loyal vocal Middle Class.

Like, wondering whether any government will actually implement Black Money bill that is so draconian that it may be misused more for milking people for funds rather than bringing money back?

Like, it is amusing to see Congress asking where is Black Money? What they siphoned off in 60 years and gave their friends 3 years to hide is to be found by Mr. Modi in 6 months! Seems Like, game of treasure hunt being played.

Like how long will Congress behave sour puss bent upon playing spoil sport, not realizing that people are tired of negative politics, that ultimately it will be the loser.

Like, why BJP is bent upon loosing support by unjustified fuel price hikes? What is the excuse? Do they think, people will accept any burden just because they Like, Modi ji?

Like, when will BJP representatives learn from Congress how to keep in touch with their workers and well wishers?

Like, why do many BJP spokespersons talk so defensively in TV debates as if they are there to defend UPA legacy problems and loose the plot?

Like, is there a design behind media creating noise and clouding real issues that would show Modi government in better light?

Like, how long will BJP put all its dead weight on PM Modi and just enjoy the ride on his shoulders?

Like, feeling blessed that we finally have a PM that this great country deserved.
