AN EMPTY-handed traveller can no longer laugh in the presence of a robber. The world is changing fast and the changing world has made the proverb "An empty handed traveller would laugh in the presence of a robber" obsolete. If you don’t believe me, you could go through the case reports of such murder and rape of many tourists who has come to India and other countries like the war torn Afghanistan and Iraq. They are not killed for their money but for sex. Besides, in these war torn Afghanistan and Iraq, just the fact that they do not belong to the Muslim faith or are trying to spread Christianity is a reason enough to get killed.. 

 

These days even plain robbers do not like empty-handed travellers. I know a man who was stabbed by the robbers because he did not have enough money in his pockets, for which the robbers could not rob him.

 

The world is no longer the home to old robbers of the sane variety like dacoit Man Singh or Robin Hood. Robbers, these days, are sex maniacs and are full of rage. So many people are killed in India because of road rage.  They are killed because they could not avoid hitting that person’s car neither would they allow any body else to overtake them. 

 

Then, there are terrorists who follow no rules. They may just ask you to get out of the bus and shot you; because, you do not belong to their religion. They are not concerned about your innocence.

 

I cannot explain the reasons behind the terrorists’ thinking. They think that every man who does not belong to their religion or sect or do not appreciate their cause, h as committed enough sin, to be sent to heaven.

 

This is also true of the rioters. The rioters are ready to kill anyone if he does not belong to the same religion or if he is trying to defend someone who disagrees with them.

 

This psychology of blaming everybody belonging to different religious back ground for all the ills in the world is frankly speaking beyond my comprehension. Can you comprehend it?
