Moon-Jupiter conjunction visible at dawn these days
This week, watch in the sky for two very bright celestial objects, the Moon and Jupiter, near each other late at night and just before dawn. The best view was on April 2 and 3.

Early on the morning of April 3, I watched for some time the Moon and Jupiter in the south-east sky. Astronomers inform that Mars and Saturn will also come up closer at dawn but they will not be as bright as the Moon and Jupiter.

If you go for a walk early morning before five, you can watch the conjunction of the Moon and Jupiter separated by a few degrees.

If you hold at first one and then two widths of your fingers held at arm's length, you will get estimate of their separation. During early April, the evening Venus is positioned farther from the Sun and more light falls on it to make it extra bright planet.

On April 17, you will be able to see a crescent moon not far from Venus.
