Looking at the traffic condition, the newly-appointed commissioner of Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) has said that flyovers and underpasses are also needed at IFFCO Chowk, Signature Tower and Rajeev Chowk.
VIJAY DHAIYA said that more flyovers are needed to ease the traffic flow in Gurgaon after he was told about various plans chalked out during the tenure of his predecessor at MCG.
Dhaiya also met the mayor of the corporation to get all details of the ongoing developmental programmes in the city, especially the plans to build flyover and underpass in Old Gurgaon near Civil Hospital and Sadar Bazar. He was told by the Mayor that the original plan was to build two flyovers, each at Mahavir Chowk and Maharana Pratap Chowk and also one on Sohna Chowk, but the work was much behind the schedule due to the transfer of the commissioner.
Dhaiya also discussed the working of engineering and sanitation departments and made plans to use them in more efficient manner. He promised to start current projects of flyovers and underpasses and promised to finish them as soon as possible successfully.
Just days after his appointment, he has started off well by getting involved in an anti-polythene drive and taking stock of various projects in the city.
