More new public toilets in Gurgaon as MCG cracks down to ensure cleaner city
MCG areas of Gurgaon will be having more more public toilets and public parking to make the city more clean, green and hygienic as MCG Commissioner Vijay Dhaiya has passed orders to his officers to inspect the city, and make provisions for more public toilets, parking, and ensure better cleanliness.

IN HIS recent orders, the new MCG Commissioner Vijay Dhaiya instructed the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon and its officials to focus on building more new and better public toilets in the city. He said for better public convenience facilities, it is important to have proper clean and hygienic public toilets.


He instructed Chief Engineer of the corporation to plan for the same and come up with new ideas within a few weeks so that they can be implemented as soon as possible. In the severe winters, he said, it is even more important to have public toilets for people - especially for those who spend most of the time on roads, and more importantly for women, the MCG's spokesperson this citizen journalist .

He also informed this citizen journalist that the Commissioner is also planning to have more public parking space, at least in the areas of MCG, and also have a plan to make the city cleaner and more hygienic.

"I have instructed our chief engineer to plan out more details and bring public private partnership to build more public toilets and public parking in corporation's areas," said Dhaiya.

Dhaiya also instructed all engineers to explore better provision for parking areas, and to file reports on their respective zones for municipal areas, and also passed orders to all medical officers to make plans and programmes for cleaning the main pathways, roads and markets with special care.

Henceforth, an enforcement team together with medical officers will remove all encroachments and illegal constructions form the main roads and markets so that the city can be seen more clean and green. For this operation all departments and officers such as engineers, town planners, medical officers and enforcement team will inspect the city in coordination, and present a collective report to the Commissioner.
