The pre booking for Droid X started off early and it is not sure whether the customers who pre-ordered the phone will receive on the launch day albeit the company claims that it is facing inventory shortage.

IN A sector where competition is always heated up, major players never cease to establish their supremacy. One of the major players, Motorola is planning to release its Droid X phone on July 15. The latest phone will also feature 3G network of Verizon Wireless.

The phone that boasts of persona and aura combined with unprecedented features is affiliated with the hugely popular Droid phones and Motorola Droid X is ready to call it war against its arch rival Apple iPhone. The topic now in question is whether will Droid be able to conquer the sales mark that iPhone did within the first three days of its release. On the release of Apple iPhone 4, over 1.7 million units were sold.

The Motorola Droid X Android carries a gorgeous 4.3 inch display, numerous multimedia functions and a comparatively longer battery life if compared with other phones. The phone was mass advertised with officials from Verizon, Google, Motorola and Adobe being sent out coast to coast of the United States to hold events across New York, Chicago and San Fransisco. The Droid X is Verizon's latest offering with the previous three being Motorola Droid, Droid Eris and Droid Incredible with the last two being HTC phones. Droid X measures 2.6 inches x 5.0 inches x 0.4 inches and it weighs around 5.47 ounces. The operating system is Android 2.1.

The battery of the phone can be changed from 1570 mAH battery to 1930 mAH which is only one mm thicker than the former though it is large in size. It also features 8 GB internal memory, 16 GB included microSD card, GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi.
