In the city, Nihaal meets the college gang as well as the girl of his dreams- Misha (Vyshalee Desai), a rich spoilt brat.
He also finds as mentor in a professor, Sidhdhant Verma (Rishi Kapoor) who intervenes college ruffians led by Kabeer (Abhishek Kapoor) harass him.
So far so good, but call it irony; as soon as he wins over Misha, the pace of the film sags. Ideally with the terrorist angle coming in and the fact that the protagonist can see the future - the film should have the audiences hooked - but the plot and the happenings are pretty predictable.
In fact, with the identity of the terrorists including Rishi Kapoor revealed in the pre-interval portion itself - need for an imaginative screenplay was imperative.
Jackie Bhagnani is good in parts. He has the screen presence. Vyshalee Desai has nothing much to do, she looks good in certain scenes and absolutely horrible in a couple of others. Archana Puran Singh, Dalip Tahil, Satish Shah, Rahul Dev are fine in their roles.
The production values are very rich and the cinematography is in sync with film’s mood. Music could have been much better.
The film serves only one purpose, which I guess was the makers intention too - showcase Jackie Bhagnani - in that sense film achieves its goal.
What rocks the movie :
Locations, absolutely breathtaking. Rishi Kapoor’s act; in spite of a badly etched role. Jackie Bhagnani in a few scenes.
What chucks the movie :
Innumerable songs. The absolutely outdated 2nd half
Verdict :
Kal Kisnay Dekha is the run-of-the-mill stuff that Bollywood has seen umpteen times; better to wait till next week and see Wolverine instead.
