AFTER CREATING waves in the entertainment world, TV reality show 'Sach Ka Samna' has landed in a soup after some politicians found it vulgar and opposed to Indian cultural ethos. Parliament members from the Bharatiya Janata Party and Samajwadi party on Wednesday (July 22), demanded a ban on the show saying it was broadcasting vulgar values and promoted questionable values.

Asserting that the contestants in the show were being asked outrageous questions about their personal lives, an SP MP alleged that show was promoting obscenity and was against Indian culture.

The issue of serials like 'Balika Vadhu' was also raised as it promoted evils like child marriage. The Parliament members demanded that both the shows should be taken off air as they abuse Indian culture and values.

Deputy chairman of Upper House, K Rahman Khan also agreed that this was a serious issue and asked the government to take note of it.

Sach Kas Saamna has been inspired by a foreign show named “Moment of Truth” and it was equally controversial abroad.
