MPs please respect the Parliament: Govt and the speaker of the house must ensure it
At one side when the entire country's focus was on the rail budget, something unpleasant happened in the parliament which drifted attention for a short while. And it was an alleged scuffle between between BJP and TMC MPs!

When the rail minister was delivering the budget speech, Congress MPs were standing inside the well (a deviation for the first time) and shouting slogans like 'Narendra Modi Down Down', 'Adani Model Down Down' etc.

One couldn't realize it's the same Congress which during their tenure blamed opposition parties mainly BJP for disturbing the Parliamentary proceedings although many of their allies including MPs from ruling Congress were involved in ruckus in the august house in past also! A Congress MP was then involved in pepper-spray and brandishing knife incident also, if one remembers!

Even yesterday when speaker allowed a discussion on price rise vide Rule-193, the Congress kept on shouting demanding discussion under rule-56! If the party was really concerned with a meaning full debate on price rise, what's wrong in discussing under Rule-193 particularly when speaker already gave ruling against the notice under rule-56!

The reason must be that the Congress had no interest to discuss common man's problem, rather to vent their anger against such a worst defeat in general elections! I was surprised when Rahul Gandhi entered in to the well! It means Congress is in self destruction mode and now competing with some regional parties famous for hooliganism inside house. This is sad and unfortunate.

The discussion couldn't take place because of chaos whereas NDA government made clear that whenever there is a demand of a debate on any issue at any moment, they are ready for it. This is the difference from the earlier UPA government, which always ran away from debates!

After, the Rail Minister completed the budget speech; the house was adjourned to meet again at 2 PM. When the session reopened, TMC MPs rushed in to the well, raised slogan while abusing Modi and demanding roll back of the Railways budget!

The budget was just tabled, there would be lot of discussions and debates in the coming days, still TMC demanded roll back of the budget especially when their leader was Rail Minister for number of times and none ever demanded roll back of budget just submitted. However, to just create ruckus you can cite any excuse!

Now the point is, if TMC's allegations are true, then it's a serious offence! Luckily Parliament is covered not only by CCTV but also by Lok Sabha channel TV cameras! Thus this can be proved scrutinizing the footages. If proved that the allegation is right, concerned BJP MP or MPs must be suspended from parliament and subject to strong disciplinary action!

But if it can't be proved then TMC MPs headed by Kalyan Banerjee, Kakoli Ghosh Dastider, Shatabdi Roy and Sougata Roy must be reprimanded and suspended from parliament for defaming fellow MPs, creating ruckus in the house and staging unwarranted drama with false allegation that brought disrepute to the highest institution of Indian democracy!

More important matter is, whether there would be no improvement in decency, decorum and standard of the functioning of our august Houses? We thought that pepper-spray and knife-brandishing episode was the lowest point in our democratic history which received strong public disapproval! But the way, the Congress and TMC are moving, don't think there would be any limit of lowest fall!

It's now time for Speaker to use iron stick! Those who rush in to well of the house (forbidden by law), those who create ruckus, involved in to hooliganism must be suspended forthwith for the session on the charge of bringing disrepute to the House, insulting democratic norms and embarrassing Indian public in front of the World! If anyone repeats the same offence in next session, he must be suspended for entire Lok Sabha tenure with a provision that s/he can't contest the next election.

Opposition is always to be respected for their disagreement/ opposition and demands as democratic and constitutional norms! But these demands/oppositions/disagreements must be exhibited within the specified established decorum and House function provisions!

NDA government is given full mandate by public not only to change the condition of the country, but also to change the image of the Parliamentary proceedings. Government must propose strict adherence of decorum, decency and image of our highest Institutions at any cost. Public is in no mood to tolerate such mockery, hooliganism and chaos inside our Parliament!
