Multimedia Mahabharata Gita Gallery in Kurukshetra will be tourist hub
Dharamakshetra Kurukshetra as a tourist destination has a wide scope, and the recent opening of the Multimedia Mahabharata Gita Gallery at Srikrishna museum has proved to be a milestone in establishing it as a major tourist spot.

THIS WAS disclosed by the Deputy Commissioner Mandip Singh Brar here today. Talking about the gallery, Mr. Brar said that recently the gallery was inaugurated by Smr Pratibha Devisingh Patil, President of India. It will attract pilgrims and tourists to watch multimedia section in the fully air conditioned ground, first and second floors.


Detailing out the gallery Mr. Brar disclosed that the core exhibits-effects had been displayed in the audio-visual gallery. He said the emphasis had been laid on basic elements of Earth (Prithvi), water (Jal), fire (Agni), wind (Vayu) and ether (Akash). The Deputy Commissioner talking about the rich arts narrated that the style of exhibits-effects were shown in details, hand made paintings, Mural paintings, Computer Generated images, sculptures elements, weapon elements, computerized light AND sound, the lac palace, AND Gandiva, etc.

He further said that the visitor would enjoy while entering the Multimedia Gallery after having visited part first and second or Srikrishna museum. Mr. Brar added that the gallery had been designed in such a way that the visitor was able to have some personal experience through interactive triggers. The DC highlighted that the emphasis had been given on the core teachings instead of encompassing entire mythology. Mr. Brar also clarified that Krishna and Bhishma were the main character of the Mahabharta and their personality and philosophy had been given place of prominence in the Multimedia Gallery.

The Deputy Commissioner also said that the gallery had been styled to give a message of “war and peace”, while law of Karma enunciated by Lord Krishna while delivering the sermon of Gita had been used as a message. Mr. Brar further stated that the emphasis had been laid to create curiosity in a common man to know about happening of Mahabharta and teaching of Gita through various media in a very simple way. The motive of the gallery to go through the ages and modern technique had been used to give basic knowledge to people of all ages, the DC added.
