Multiple avalanches in Afghanistan this winter kill over hundred, PM Modi condoles loss of lives
The media reports from Afghanistan inform that this winter the country has witnessed unprecedented snowfall that triggered a series of avalanches that have killed over hundred people and injured many.

The multiple avalanches have destroyed hundreds of houses and some people in areas are buried under piles of snow. Rescue teams have been pressed into service and figures of causalities and injured are expected to rise.

At certain places, the rescue teams are finding it difficult to reach the affected areas since the roads have been blocked by heavy snow. Both the houses and the farmlands have been destroyed by the fury of the multiple avalanches.

Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has condoled the loss of lives in Afghanistan due to avalanches. He conveyed, "Heartfelt condolences on the loss of lives in Afghanistan due to avalanches. India stands ready to assist in any way possible."
