SO TERMED ‘Judicial verdict’ is the best shield cited by Pakistan government to express its helplessness in the release of Hafiz Mohammad Saeed; on whom drama of house-arrest and filing of case in connection of infamous 26/11 terror-attack was done under international (especially US) pressure. Much depends on government-administered investigating agencies which deliberately leave sufficient loopholes to ‘assist’ even judiciary for not convicting the favoured ones, and this has what happened in Pakistan. Any follow-up action of Pakistan government appealing in nation’s Supreme Court will further be a likewise drama to practically emerge Hafiz Mohammad Saeed as a hero rather than a culprit.

It is not that US does not understand all this. But the only hyper-power country of the world lets all this drama continue, just to give a gimmick healing touch to the wounds of India which is created by Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. Nothing can improve till America stops all financial aid to Pakistan and untill Pakistan practically exhibits some meaningful attitude like hanging some terrorists responsible for 26/11 Mumbai attack.

It may be recalled that the infamous 9/11 attack on US World Trade Tower could have been possible only because US avoided taking any concrete action on IC-814 hijack at Kandhar. Likewise, by not taking 26/11 terror-attack on Mumbai seriously, US may be indirectly inviting even more severe attacks on itself from the ’soil of its favoured nation’ Pakistan, in time to come.
