Official from Central Railway said, "Trains are running late by 30 to 45 minutes due to water logging at Sion, Matunga, Wadala, Parel and Masjid Station. Almost 38 trains were cancelled on the main line and 14 on harbour line.”

“Train services on the Western line were running late by 10 to 15 minutes but there were no cancellations,” said a Western railway officer.

People commuting by trains informed that trains were running late by almost 50 to 60 minutes and was over crowded. They were finding it difficult to enter and exit.

Water logging in Hindmata, Kurla, Sion, Bandra, Wadala and Dadar resulted in traffic jams causing chaos to road traffic.

Thankfully, the flights departure and arrival were on time. There was no news of diversions and cancellations of flights.

As per the Met department, there is likelihood of Mumbai and the suburbs receiving heavy showers for the next 24 hours.
