Mumbai Indians batsmen Vs Highveld Lions bowlers
Both Mumbai Indians and Highveld Lions will be looking for their first victory in the ongoing 2013 Champions Trophy at Sawai Mansingh Stadium tonight, where they have only gained two points from their respective two matches played so far. It is imperative for them to register a win under their belt, else it might be difficult for them to progress into the knock out round of the competition.
Mumbai Indians have a strong line up consisting of players such as Tendulkar, Smith, Karthik, Rohit Sharma, Pollard etc in their batting line up, who can make it tough for the Lions' bowlers. But these batsmen cannot take the Lions easily, which comprise of quality bowlers such as Imran Tahir, Tsotsobe, Sohail Tanvir etc. So, a healthy battle is on the cards between the Mumbai
batsmen and Lions' bowlers.
When Mumbai played against Rajasthan
Royals in their first game of the tournament, only two batsmen clicked, namely Pollard and Rohit Sharma, but the game tonight calls for a better performance by all the above mentioned Mumbai batsmen. Players such as Tendukar, Smith would be under pressure to give a flying start with field restrictions on play.
As for the Lions, they too have a decent looking batting line up, which primarily depends on the batting skills of Q de Kock and Petersen. These two batsmen along with others will have to deal with the strong bowling of Mumbai compromising of Harbhajan Singh, Johnson etc.
Both teams have been unlucky as well with one out of their two matches in the tournament already washed out. Hence, they walk into the game tonight with a do or die attitude, which bores good news for people thronging the stadium to watch the game. Both teams should go for the kill straight away.
