Mumbai Indians captain Tendulkar may miss IPL final
Master blaster and IPL Season 3 top run getter Sachin Tendulkar might be forced to miss the Indian Premier League final on Sunday (April 25) as he suffered a hand injury during Mumbai's 35-run victory over Bangalore.
AFTER SUFFERING a hand injury during Mumbai’s 35-run victory over Bangalore, master blaster Sachin Tendulkar may be forced to miss the Indian Premier League final on Sunday (April 25). The Mumbai skipper needed five stitches in the split webbing of his right hand. Tendulkar got injured when he went for an edge off Rahul Dravid in the initial stages of Bangalore’s run-chase in the IPL semi-final at the DY Patil Stadium in IPL first semi final. A final call on whether TendulkarTendulkar, IPL season 3 top run getter will play after being injured during Bangalore's run chase is expected soon. The decision whether he would be able to take part in the final would be taken in a couple of days’ time. All fans of Mumbai supporters are hoping he would play in the final.
Mumbai thumped Bangalore by 35 runs in the first semifinal to storm into their maiden IPL final. At the end of the match Tendulkar was all praise for Saurabh Tiwary (52 not out) and Ambati Rayudu (40) who began a splendid Mumbai recovery before Kieron Pollard's late onslaught to take Mumbai score to 184 for five.
