Mumbai Indians could use IPL scandal to their advantage
Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings are the only three teams left in the competition as of now, out of which only Mumbai stays clean from the cloud of recent spot fixing and betting scandals. This could prove to be a great advantage to Mumbai Indians, as they do not have any outside distractions unlike Chennai and Rajasthan in the run up to the finals of the competition.

Initially, it was Rajasthan, but after TV actor Vindoo Dara Singh was arrested, the CSK has also come in radar with his close connection with the top management of the franchise including CEO, Gurunath Meiyappan along with some other cricketers as well.

The CEO is said to have placed bet with almost all IPL teams. This negative publicity might affect the performance of Chennai Super Kings, as every newspaper and news channel is talking about the same. It could be difficult for the CSK players to concentrate on the game ahead with so much of negativity flowing in the camp.

When Rajasthan Royals players were arrested by Delhi Police, some of their players later stated that it was a tough period for the players and the management to deal with the situation. CSK players might meet the same fate as well. So, with Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals not in the right frame of mind, which is very important in the business end of the competition, it might be the difference between these sides.

Mumbai Indians need to take good advantage of their clean space. It is almost guaranteed that when a press conference takes place, whoever represents the CSK or the Royals on the chair during the conference will be asked the obvious questions related to the IPL controversy, which is again going to bring the team down.

The situation looks more grave now, as the CEO had initially asked time until Monday to appear before Mumbai Crime branch, but it has been stated that they have asked him to be appear today itself.
